Tempe Center for the Arts
About the Tempe Center for the Arts:
Completed in 2007, this stunning arts center was the product of a design competition. It includes a wonderful geometric roof with dynamic intersecting planes, making it distinctively recognizable. There are five public art pieces connected with the center including the lobby carpet and the entry marquee. The center itself is situated in a picturesque location on the man-made Tempe Town Lake, and offers plenty of free parking, a concessions area and a coat check. Along with its two available theater spaces is the Gallery at TCA, a visual arts gallery open to the public Tuesday through Saturday.
The Tempe Center for the Arts is home to many wonderful ongoing arts programs including: Open Mic Night, Songwriters' Showcase, Art After Work, Music Under the Stars and a lot more! Some of Tempe's art groups that call this center their home are: Childsplay, Tempe Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Arizona Wind Symphony and the Tempe Symphony Orchestra.
